Welcome to Trace

12 months of development, 6 months of testing, 1000's of Traces, tweaking and iterating, we are super excited to introduce Trace, the new way of tracking your water activities.

After the continued success of Buoy Zone for on the water Race Management, we've been watching the live tracing solutions come and go over the years and seen how technology can really drive innovation in this space.

At Trace, we're passionate about water sports of all kinds and want to make sure we go deep on each sport before we go wide. Our initial focus has been on wind based water sports; Sailing, Winging, Windfoiling etc and Paddle based sports like Rowing, Kayaking and Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP's). We'll continue to work with the best in the game to bring you the best data and analytics possible, so you can continue to keep getting better.

We're also about staying safe, wether you're racing, out in a group, or on a solo mission, ensuring everyone knows where you are, can see how you're getting on and can support you when needed, is a fundamental component of what Trace is about. Start a trace, share the link and head out on the water, your family and friends can see you without, even needing to install the app.

A rising tide floats all boats. We love seeing the connections you make with others on and off the water. So a big part of the app is around being together, sharing, comparing and learning from each other. It's great having all the data in one place to share and of course, have some fun with it.

I'd love to make a huge shout out to all those folks who have helped us in our journey, it's been a lot of work and tons of testing & feedback to build a world class app so thank you all, you know who you are!

We fully understand that this launch really is just the start-line for us, we've built an amazing platform so we can relentlessly continue to challenge the status quo, focus on our users experience and keep building great digital products.
