Join an Event/Race from Trace.

Trace is the worlds most sailor focused water-sports activity tracking solution. By joining a Trace Event sailors link their Trace sessions with a specific Event or race they're participating in. Bring your session to those ashore and post race analysis.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD & REGISTER

Follow the app store link above to download the Trace app and register. Save email address validation by using the sign - in with Google or Apple option to register.

Compatible devices

For live tracking a device which is connect to the internet is required. This rules Garmin and other tracking devices out.

Supported devices:

Apple

iPhone iOS 15 or later
WatchOS 9.0 or later - If you're only using an Apple watch then it will need to be within range of your phone for the entire session or have it's own LTE connection

Android

Android 7.0 or later
Android Wear coming soon

STEP 2: *PREPARE

Before race day join the entries for the Event , this lets others know that you're planning on taking part and makes the event appear directly on record page.

Tap the Events tab
*Scroll through the Events to find the event you will be join. Make sure to check Future Events if the event is still in the future
Tap the "Join the Entries" button , select your Fleet , add your Sail#, Boat name and tap "Join"

*Requires the event to have been published by the host race authority

STEP 3: RACE DAY - START YOUR TRACE

On race day start your Trace session

Tap "RECORD"
Option - Give your Trace a name EG Race 1
Select the Event from the list
Tap "START"
Confirm your Fleet, Sail#, Boat name and Tap "RECORD FOR THIS EVENT"
